A HUGELY over-due update:

I recognize that I have been a blog slacker. I am sincerely sorry. I could sit here and make excuses but I won’t waste the time.

Jimmy is growing in leaps and bounds. It’s truly amazing to think that 7 months ago he was tucked firmly under my heart depending on me for everything and today (in such a short time) he is moving on his own and playing with toys and feeding himself. It is so cool. I am such a lucky mom and in awe of this little man all the time.

So here are some highlights of the past several months:

Jimmy started solids on Monday June 29th.

We started with Rice cereal and ran from there. He loves eating solids and feeding himself ANYTHING he can. He eats anything pureed and all of the gerber graduate snacks that are appropriate for his age. He eats bread, Cheerios, crackers, pancakes and cooked but solid fruits. I am fairly certain there is more that I can not currently think of. It’s amazing. (today we added cooked but not pureed chicken.)

The weekend of July 17th we had my family’s reunion where Jimmy was able to meet his extended family

We went to the Dr’s on July 20th for his 4 month well baby check (though he was closer to 5 months). He was 15 pounds 14 ounces and 26.5 inches long.

He ended up with Thrush and had his first prescription medicine on Friday July 24th.

He also sat up independently for the first time on July 24th.

Jimmy was Baptized at St. Christopher’s Church in Nashua on Sunday, July 26th. His Godparents are John and Jess.

On August 1st we went to Lake Winnipesaukee for the month. It was a busy month of new experiences and lots of friends and family.

On 8/8 he had his first tube ride

On 8/20 he had his 1st slush in pina colada flavor

On 8/21 he rode on the jet ski for the first time and enjoyed a lightning storm from the boat for the first time.

On 8/28 he rolled over from his back to front for the first time.

After getting home:

On 8/31 he got his 1st tooth (bottom right)

On 9/8 he got his 2nd tooth (bottom left)

On 9/15 he army crawled across the living room for the first time

On 9/17 he clapped and learned how to roll a ball with another person

On 9/18 he went apple picking for the first time, watched his dad race go carts and attended his first surprise birthday party (for his mom’s 30th birthday)

On 9/20 he fed himself with a food filled spoon and was babysat by his grammie while Rob and I went to see U2.

Overall, Jimmy loves to move. He loves to hold your hands to walk and run. He can hang on to furniture while standing and even do some very slow furniture cruising. It’s amazing to watch. He can also say "Hi" and "Da-Da". All of his friends are older than him and he is working so hard to keep up. I just love to watch this little guy grow and develop. It’s so neat!

We had our 6 month check up on September 21. (A lot closer to his 7 month birthday than his 6 but whatever.) He weighed 17.86 pounds which was in the 42nd percentile. He was 27.56 inches long which was in the 73rd percentile

The doctor was very impressed with his skills and abilities. It was a wonderful appointment!

He is so much fun and I can’t wait to post pictures and videos. I have tons of each. . . bear with me!

Sorry I am so slow. . . I will try to be better. We love you all. HUGS AND KISSES

6 month update coming

It has been nearly two months since I have last posted and so much has happened with our little guy. For instance he turned SIX MONTHS old this past weekend. We have been very busy and it will take me some time to get my thoughts in order and get some pictures together but PLEASE don't feel neglected. . . it is certainly coming soon.

Here is a teaser. . .

My little one can roll over in both directions, can hold his own bottle when laying down, cut his first tooth and can say daddy and dada (often with meaning towards rob) he certainly says something to the effect of Hi appropriately. He was working on waving but has given up for now. He loves solid foods. He spent the month of August at the lake doing all sorts of water sports (and we will need to show pictures for you to believe half of it!) We are so proud and constantly in awe of this amazing guy.

The full update is coming, I PROMISE
