And a surprise ultrasound!

So, it has been a busy two days. Yesterday was my first doctor's appointment. I met with the midwife and we chatted about risk factors and family history. It was very informal and a really good time. I think Linda Dempster (my midwife) is awesome. She agreed with me that there is plenty of reason to wonder what my due date was so she scheduled an ultrasound for today!!! I had blood work done before I left there as well and I should get the results at my next appointment next week. Before I forget- We had a fire drill while I was there. That was super exciting. I HATE FIRE DRILLS!

Any way today at 2:30 Rob and I got to go in and see our little bean. We could see the heart beat (165 very healthy beats per minute). It was the coolest thing ever! And we found out that the bean is due on February 13, not the 22nd like I thought. So I am actually in week 8 not seven so I will post the week 8 update next.
