Today's visit to the Dr.

Hi all,

We went for our monthly check up today and I am pleased to report that the bean is doing VERY well. I am measuring where I should be and his/her heart beat was a perfect 150 beats per minute. I don't think I could get tired of that sound. Right now it is the COOLEST sound on the planet. I know in the not so distant future his/her tiny breaths or cries will quickly replace the heartbeat as the coolest noise on the planet but for now I am sticking with the heart beat! I got my flu shot today to keep this little noodle healthy. I wouldn't haven't done it for myself but I was persuaded that it was the best thing for my little nugget.

At our next appointment we will have our glucose test. I am certainly NOT looking forward to that but it is important to make sure our little one stays healthy. We will also schedule our last (hopefully) ultrasound. It is also our last monthly appointment, after that we go to bi-weekly! Isn't that crazy. we are so close to done I guess!!

Our nursery is making slow and steady progress. We have the floors completely sanded and the walls painted. The floors will be urethaned on Friday (I hope) and then we will move the furniture in. (We have our crib and changing table already and we are using a dresser that we already had.) Then we will paint murals on the walls. Rob has a pretty good idea of what he wants to do in terms of murals and all I can say is they are really cool. I am so excited!!

We also just got a new kitchen set. We loved our cafe style table but it is just too small for our growing family. So we were blessed to receive a table from Rob's great-aunt who was moving. It is BEAUTIFUL and can expand to seat 8-10 people. Way more than we need but it is always good to have!!

So that's it from the parents-to-be. Bean has been kicking like crazy and Rob is really enjoying the little nudges from our bean. (That being said- Bean was very shy this weekend and did not want to kick for his/her aunts.) Our next appointment is the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

Hope you all are doing well. Love you!

These murals wouldn't happen to be X-men would they? I still remember Rob's childhood bedroom. It was pretty epic.

Sounds like both you and the little bean/noodle/nugget are doing well :}
Can't wait to hear his/her name or are these the final three choices?
Love and miss you,
Kim
