Our little Baby Jimmy: Long past over due!

I just looked at the previous entry to discover it's been a MONTH since our last up-date! That's terrible. Jimmy is growing so fast every day. It's crazy. He is working hard on sitting up, he can roll from front to back and is working on back to front. He loves bouncing in his jumpy seats and playing with his toys. He still uses a paci but he is discovering his thumb when a paci is unavailable. He started Solids about a week and a half ago. We had a rough first day but he has been going strong since. He loves being able to eat with a spoon like the big kids. He eats rice cereal, papaya and bananas. This weekend we will be introducing sweet potato. It's really fun. He LOVES drinking water from a glass, but truth be told he wears more than he drinks. We are working on using a sippy cup but that is going slowly. He often will raise his arms when he wants to be moved from where he is and will lean forward to help get out of his car seat. These past four months have flown by and we are having SO much fun with him!

Aunty Chrissy came up for a photo shoot to get some cute pictures of Jimmy for Father's Day. It was a long but very fun day. Jimmy's friend Nya come over to have her picture taken too:

On Father's day we visited with the family and wished all of the guys in our lives a very happy special day. The following weekend the three of us celebrated father's day with what Rob wanted to do. We went bike riding down the Cape Cod Canal on Friday, Visited with friends on Saturday and on Sunday we went SCUBA diving. It was a wonderful weekend!

While we were riding a long there was an injured bird on the side of the trail. I wanted to move it so it would be safe but decided to show our new friend to Jimmy first.

(For the record I did go diving on the second dive- it was very cold but nice to be back in the water after more than a year on land :))

In June, Rob's friends Rick and Nikki were here from the UAE for a week. We went up to the White Mountains for some zip lining and hiking here are some pics of Jimmy from our hike.

Also in June, Rob's friends Rob and Holly came for a visit. While they were here we took a Duck Boat tour! It was a great time and we can't wait for them to come back!

For the Fourth of July this year we went down to stay at Rob's family cottage in Onset, MA (The Cape) We spent the days bike riding and on the beach and took Jimmy to his first fireworks. We were across the bay from the fireworks so they were not very loud. Jimmy LOVED the flashing light show!
