On Monday we met with the two wonderful Doulas who worked so hard to support us though our long labor. They brought a copy of Jimmy's birth story with them and were very excited to meet the little guy we all "labored" so hard for! Later that afternoon Grammie Marj and Grandpa Brian came up for a visit and we all went to the Peddler's Daughter *a very tasty Irish Pub here in Nashua) for dinner.
On Tuesday we all went to the doctor for another "well-baby" check. Rob got to meet our pediatrician, Dr. Chuck, for the first time. We were very pleased to discover that Jimmy had gained some of his birth weight back! We have one more appointment this week to make sure he keeps heading in the right direction for weight. After the doctors we went over to Target to pick up a few things. It was a nice little family outing.
Wednesday was Rob's last day home before returning to work so we stayed home and enjoyed some quality family time during the day. We also gave Jimmy his first bath at home. Jimmy was not a fan! Wednesday night we headed over to our very good friend's- Sean, Jess and Nya- for a dinner of chicken piccata, It was delicious and the company was wonderful.
Thursday marked Rob's return to work. Jimmy and Jeffa got up early to drive him to BAE for a few extra minutes together. Jeffa and Jimmy had a productive day at home doing some house work. Jess and Nya stopped by and all four of us went to Babies-R-Us. Jeffa and Jimmy picked up Rob in the early evening and our friend Jamie came over to meet him soon after. Then we spent the evening with some quality family time.
On Friday Jimmy and Jeffa got up early to bring Rob to work again. After returning home we got a call from Grammie Lindsey that she would like to come up and visit. We got to spend the morning with her and then went to Panera for lunch. It sure was a fun way to spend a Friday, Our friend Sean brought Rob home from work and we spent the evening hanging out on the couch.
Saturday brought us back to Ragged Mountain for some skiing. Well, Rob skiied with Matt and Sean and Jeffa and Jimmy hung out in the lodge with Jess and Nya. After skiing we went to Margarita's with Sean, Jess and Nya for Jimmy and Nya's first dinner date out. It was a good time.
Sunday brought us down to Mass for the first time. We took Jimmy to meet his great-grandparents in the morning and then headed to Wrentham to celebrate Grandpa Kendall's birthday. We had lovely visits with both families!
It was another great week for our little guy!
