Happy 2 month birthday little one!

It's been a big two months! Some of your new tricks include deliberately grabbing for things in front of you. You have also gained a lot of skill in getting things (hands, toys and paci's) into or near your mouth. You also are getting very good using your first consonant sound -- G! Great job little one. You still love tummy time and have a lot of neck and head strength. We are having so much fun with you. The past two weeks have been very busy. We took you to Umass to show you where mommy and daddy first met. We walked along the Freedom Trail in Boston and we have driven down to Washington D.C/ Maryland. We stopped to see the Statue of Liberty, we took in the sights in D.C. and went to the National Aquarium in Baltimore. It sure had been fun. We love you!!

And now some pictures:

With Daddy at the start of the Freedom Trail.

Hanging out during lunch at Fanueil Hall

Taking a break to play with mom in Boston

Jimmy's first ride on the T

Awww. . . look at the happy baby in his swing.

Making a quick pit stop on our road trip to Maryland to check out the Statue of Liberty. (Liberty Park, NJ)

Visiting the White House. . . we did not get to see President Obama OR the first dog. Rob did get spoken to about setting up a tripod- that's apparently a no-no

It was brutally hot while we were in DC but despite this Jimmy was able to pause for a big smile!

We got to see this ACTUAL C3PO Costume from Return of the Jedi at the Smithsonian of American History. Very exciting!

Jimmy had been wide awake enjoying the cool AC at the Smithsonian until JUST before we got to see Kermit. Mom was SOOO disappointed that he missed it!

Jimmy had developed a heat rash (temperatures were about 20 degrees above average) so we decided that hanging in his diaper was the best course of action. . . it made him SUPER HAPPY. He loved being NAKED BABY IN DC!

Here is a group of pictures of us posing in front of various monuments:

Jimmy and I got up and STARTED to get ready for our trip to the aquarium. Apparently we did not make it very far.

Our little guy was stylin' in his shades

We got a chance to take in the Dolphin Show

Posing with a replication of Megamouth Jaws

posing with the sharks!

Jimmy was totally into the exhibits. Here he is studying the anemones and a finny fish

Here is Jimmy & Daddy posing infront of an Amazon Rainforest Three-toed sloth
